Description:
My client is a leading DOE (Designated Operational Entity). They are currently looking for an experienced Verification and Validation specialist to work in their Kenya office focusing on CDM projects in English- and French- speaking Africa.
Responsibilities include:
· Verification of CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) projects
· Validation of CDM projects
· Technical calculations relating to these two activities
· Liaising with advisory firms, CDM project developers and local CDM project managers globally
Skills and qualifications needed:
· At least significant experience working in verification and validation of CDM projects within a DOE or a senior technical role within a project development firm having worked on the verification and validation of minimum 20 CDM projects;
· Strong technical background preferably in engineering
· Excellent knowledge of VCS (Voluntary Carbon Standards) and the Kyoto protocol
· Able to work autonomously
