We currently have various busy clients that have shown an informal interest in receiving applications from Electrical Design Engineers with a background of working on renewable projects, particularly wind farms. As the industry expands, it has opened up new opportunities within their technical teams to recruit candidates in this area.
Generally, the types of candidate's that will be of interest will have experience of LV/MV/HV in power generation and have negotiated with the DSO and national grid companies. Ideally you will be degree qualified in electrical engineering, or related subject and be chartered or working towards chartership status, but this is not essential.
