We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with our busy client, a company who is a world leader in the world of power generation and integrated power plants for the production of electricity and air quality control systems. They are currently have an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a background in thermal power plants.
As a Mechanical Engineer your responsibilities will include the review of customer specification's, machine history and standard outage scope to specify the appropriate maintenance work-scope to be conducted and to discuss with customer as required, Mechanical Engineering technical support of service sngineers world-wide for on site repair and maintenance of generators & exciters, bearing analysis and dynamic modal analysis of shaft systems and stress analysis of generator components to ensure adequate static strength and fatigue life.
The successful candidate will be of degree calibre or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering and a membership of a professional institute would be an advantage. You will have mechanical engineering design experience, be technically competent, be commercially aware and customer focused and have a sound working knowledge of product area.
