We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer with our client, a company who is a world leader in the world of power generation and integrated power plants for the production of electricity. They currently have an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a background in thermal power plants.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer your responsibilities will include responding to customers queries, problems and issues, reviewing of customer specification's, operating machine history and standard outage scope to specify the appropriate maintenance work-scope, supporting on-site activities to ensure that machines are correctly, safely and reliably returned to service, providing occasional engineering support to the workshop overhaul activities to ensure that components are refurbished correctly and return to service safely and reliably.
The successful candidate will be of degree calibre or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering and a membership of a professional institute would be an advantage. You will have mechanical engineering design experience, be competent in mechanical fundamentals, materials, manufacturing, measurement and test and mathematical analysis. Candidates must also be able to demonstrate customer focus and commercial awareness, teamwork and cooperation.
