This journal is devoted to fundamental and applied issues in radiation research and biophysics. The topics include: Biophysics of ionizing radiation: radiation physics and chemistry, radiation dosimetry, radiobiology, radioecology, biophysical foundations of medical radiology, nuclear medicine, and radiation protection. Biophysics of non-ionizing radiations: ultraviolet, visible, and infrared light (including laser light), microwaves, radiowaves, low frequency electromagnetic fields, sound and ultrasound.

Aims and Scope
As well as:
- Biological effects of physical factors, such as temperature, pressure, gravitational forces, electric and magnetic fields.
- Biophysical aspects of the biosphere and space, of ecosystems and their mathematical models, and of transport processes of energy and substances in biotic systems.
- Risk assessment and risk modelling for radiation and environmental factors.
Contributions to these topics may include theoretical-mathematical and experimental material. They can range from complex radiobiological phenomena to issues of health physics and environmental protection.
Special emphasis is given to fundamental research - directly or indirectly related to radiation and environmental problems - but articles on medical physics and biomedical engineering will be accepted if they contribute to the understanding of fundamental mechanisms.

SpringerOnline Journals Archives
Bringing Yesterday’s Masters to Today’s Minds
Springer expands the realm of scientific research through the Online Journals Archive package. Scientists and researchers can access over a century of scientific evolution and complete historical information. Springer has created a comprehensive body of scientific, medical and technical research documentation accessible to scientists, researchers and other professionals. We will offer approximately 1,200 journals starting in 2005 by adding all content formerly published by Kluwer, as well as, all content from Volume I, Issue 1, where available, from both the former Springer-Verlag and Kluwer.
