Products covered by the proposal include those belonging to the following groups: White goods, Home Entertainment, Heating and Cooling appliances, IT and Office Equipment, Lighting, Chilled and boiling water dispensers, Refrigerated beverage vending machines, Industrial, Commercial Refrigeration, Factory equipment etc

Energy standards for Australian products
It is currently mandatory for white goods and television sets offered for sale in Australia to carry an approved energy label. The energy requirements on household refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners will undergo changes in 2010.
