Excess Air of the Clinker Cooler Dedusting. The control of clinker fines emissions after the heat exchanger, placed downstream of the clinker cooler is usually a problem for plant managers.
The process is characterized by high material abrasiveness, high loads and variable flow rate in normal and maximum conditions.
The usual dedusting arrangement is achieved through a bag house which is typically associated with high maintenance costs and downtime in production due to frequent filter element replacements.
Usual arrangement:
Heat exchanger + bag filters
Problems:
High maintenance cost in filter elements change
Downtime of production
Dramatic increase in emissions with one damaged filter element
