H2OMAP SWMM is a powerful, stand-alone GIS-based computer program for hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality simulation model for the effective management of urban stormwater and wastewater collection systems. Built using advanced Object-Oriented Geospatial Component model, H2OMAP SWMM seamlessly views, manipulates, and exchanges GIS data sets with incredible ease and simplicity.
Utilizing a rigorous and versatile network modeling solution, H2OMAP SWMM supports geocoding and multiple mapping layers which can be imported from one of many data sources including Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drawings (e.g., dwg, dgn, dxf), CAD world files, standard GIS formats (Shapefiles, Generate files, MID/MIF files, and ArcInfo coverages), Vector Product Format (VPF) files, attribute tables, grid data, image files, ODBC, and Comma Separated/Delimited Text (CSV) files.
H2OMAP SWMM is a fully dynamic, geospatial wastewater and stormwater modeling and management software application. H2OMAP SWMM can be used to model the entire land phase of the hydrologic cycle as applied to urban stormwater and wastewater collection systems. The model can perform single event or long-term (continuous) rainfall-runoff simulations accounting for climate, soil, land use, and topographic conditions of the watershed. In addition to simulating runoff quantity, H2OMAP SWMM can also predict runoff quality including buildup and washoff of pollutants from primarily urban watersheds. Once runoff quantity and quality is simulated, and wastewater loads at receiving junctions are determined, the routing portion of H2OMAP SWMM transports using either steady routing, kinematic wave routing or dynamic wave routing, this flow through a conveyance system of pipes, channels, storage/treatment devices, pumps, and hydraulic regulators such as weirs and orifices. The model offers very advanced Real-Time Control (RTC) scheme for the operational management of hydraulic structures.
H2OMAP SWMM also supports a variety of specialized treatment plant control devices as well as river profiles resulting in an Integrated Catchment Management solution for modeling the sewer system, the receiving water and the wastewater treatment plant in an integrated manner.
The program also offers a complete, database-driven open-architecture environment, which makes it easy to manage and distribute geospatial data as well as exchange important modeling information with other applications and GIS systems. Because the program creates and stores all graphic data in a native shapefile format, H2OMAP SWMM instantly becomes an integral part of your data warehouse, compatible with any other GIS application. You can now visualize your sewer collection system at a glance and develop informed, cost-effective and reliable solutions concerning system expansion and improvement. H2OMAP SWMM is ideally suited for many types of sewer system analysis applications including:
