As there is a general lack of awareness regarding alternative methods of cooking and kitchen practice, education is essential to show people that there is a way to run their home that is better for them in almost every aspect. Our community-based participative workshops involve and train community leaders in alternative energy and in the best use of our ecological stoves to implement the improved administration of homes. Bolivia has a strong social base and is organized into community-based structures. Our participative workshops have proven successful and have spread the word of ecological cookers far wider than the workshops themselves. Training has helped to establish a market demand and broken barriers to the successful implementation of alternative energy systems and ways of living in some sectors of the population.
