The Aquapoint ANOX-MBDR provides a suitable environment to initiate and complete biological denitrification. Biological denitrification is the reduction of nitrate to nitrogen gas by facultative heterotrophic bacteria in the presence of a soluble carbon source.
SBR biological plantsare composed by systems that equalize, aerate, denitrificate and sediment the effluent in a single reactor or in more reactors with determinated operative sequenceses. SBR plant develops a mix of bacteria cultures that are able to remove COD, BOD and Nutrients present in the treated effluents.
The ABC-N denitrification device is designed primarily for use as a denitrification (nitrate reducing) device when exceptional levels of nitrogen reduction are required. A carbon feed system (by others) supplies a carbon source, and the ABC-N promotes the growth of bacteria that denitrifies nitrified wastewater from most wastewater flows.
Designed as a second stage nitrification and denitrification (with ABC®-N), the NitriFAST® is to meet higher levels of nitrogen reduction for systems with direct discharge into lakes, streams and lagoons or properties with higher levels of ammonia influent.
