    Methane gas leak detection

Methane emissions from oil and natural gas systems is primarily the result of normal operations or system disruptions. These hazardous emissions can be cost-effectively reduced by upgrading technologies or equipment, and by improving operations. However, in order to do so, one must be able to detect and identify the existence of a fugitive gas leak. Opgal`s EyeC Gas Thermal Imager for gas leak detection, is one of the most advanced cameras used to detect leaks. Thus, it becomes a required tool in mitigating and reducing fugitive emissions of methane gas.

    VOCs Fugitive emissions detection

An oil refinery or petroleum refinery is an industrial process plant where crude oil is processed and refined into more useful petroleum products, such as naphtha, gasoline, diesel fuel, asphalt base, heating oil, kerosene, etc,. Oil refineries are typically large, sprawling industrial complexes with extensive piping running throughout, carrying streams of fluids between large chemical processing units. The refining process releases a number of different chemicals into the atmosphere mostly Hydrocarbons which cause severe health and safety hazards. Opgal`s EyeCGas Thermal Imager can detect the leaking gases from a distance and help reducing the threats

Hazardous waste treatment solutions for oil and gas industry

There are a wide amount of applications for our VacuDry® process within the oil and gas industry. A large variety of wastes and by-products that are generated in the oil & gas production chain can be treated effectively and sustainably. In past decades, numerous thermal desorption processes have been implemented worldwide, using a variety of heating chamber designs to separate hydrocarbons from the mineral solids. Such standard TDUs work under atmospheric pressure which can lead to safety risks, high energy consumption, larger emissions and limited flexibility regarding altering feed materials. Due to its unique design, the complications outlined above are avoided throughout the VacuDry® process. When it comes to treating standard oily wastes, mercury-containing waste streams, NORM, and especially for the recovery of highly valuable drilling fluids from drill cuttings; our vacuum thermal desorption process (i.e. vacuum distillation) is economically unbeatable.

    NORM Waste

Natural Occurring Radioactive Material consists of materials enriched with radioactive elements found in the environment. They are usually brought to the surface by oil and gas exploration or mining. NORM wastes can be treated in a VacuDry® unit in order to prepare it for a safe sub earth disposal. Drill Cuttings

Common drilling procedures for oil and gas, used widely around the world, produce a consistently increasing amount drill cuttings containing oil. In some cases, drill cuttings even contain other hazardous components such as mercury or NORM (Natural occurring Radioactive Material), requiring special attention. Treatment of drill cuttings is therefore beneficial from both an environmental and an economic standpoint, allowing valuable drilling oil to be recovered, and ensuring environmentally sound disposal of the drill cuttings. Our VacuDry® technology is designed to safely separate oil, water and mercury from the solids (including NORM), allowing reuse of the oil and safe disposal of the water, mercury, solids and NORM. Mercury Waste

Mercury-contaminated wastes are a major challenge for many industries including the chlorine industry, oil & gas drilling, oil & gas refineries (catalysts) and fluorescent lamps recycling. Due to strict legal restrictions and HSE requirements, mercury-contaminated waste is required to be handled with special care. We at econ industries have the best solution for each specific mercury waste stream, with plants that are recognised as being state of the art from approval authorities worldwide.
