Environmental solutions for the composites & carbon fiber industry - Air and Climate - Air Pollution Treatment
Custom or hybrid styles and designs to fit your needs. Dürr Megtec provides roll-to-roll drying, curing and thermal air-handling systems for coating and laminating applications, such as composites, carbon fiber and thermoplastics. Whether you need a small, value-priced roll-support dryer, a custom-configured air flotation dryer or a complete coating line for a specialized application, Dürr Megtec has the products and services to meet your requirements. Our technical application and design engineers work with your process specialists or OEM suppliers to design systems that will provide reliable, high production performance for composites web handling, carbon fiber web handling, drying and curing carbon fiber, and roll-to-roll thermal air handling.
Dürr Megtec has years of experience and application knowledge for the tough drying and web handling applications such as slow-drying coatings and materials or thin film coating and laminating. Dryers can be equipped with a wide variety of nozzle configurations ranging from simple slot nozzles to sophisticated Coanda-style air bars and patented air foil systems. A full range of heat sources are available including steam, direct and indirect gas-fired, thermal oil, electric, hot water and IR. In addition, the air handling systems can be integrated into the dryer enclosure or stand-alone for remote installation.
Our wide range of custom or hybrid styles and designs, include designs for clean room applications such as:
- Convection air/non-contact flotation
- Convection/IR combination
- Catenary convection air
- Roll support
- Belt conveyor
- Thru air
When the process requires pollution control systems for solvent-based applications, Dürr Megtec also offers regenerative thermal oxidizers, solvent recovery, wet scrubbers, distillation and purification systems. Our waste heat recovery systems can “close the energy loop” between pollution controls and the process in order to reduce production costs.
