    To abide local regulations, and ensure efficient and effective composting, the temperatures of the windrows must be measured and logged constantly. With accurate temperature measurements, you can determine the optimum time to turn the windrows for quicker compost production. Time consuming and error prone manual data collection is eliminated using a SureCross FlexPower Node equipped with three thermocouples to automatically monitor the temperature at three depths within a compost windrow. Temperature sensor readings are wirelessly transmitted back to the Gateway or host system for data collection, analysis, and logging. Because the temperatures are measured and recorded continuously, the composting rows can be turned as soon as the temperature reaches the ideal point. Continuously monitoring the temperature will also provide an early warning to potential fire hazards by notifying personnel when temperatures exceed recommended ranges, thereby preserving the product.

    QCAL introduces CO2Control for incubators and test chambers. These gas dosing units can be adapted to nearly every incubator or test chamber. The user can set a CO2 concentration up to 30% vol. CO2. The CO2Control measures the actual concentration and adds CO2 from a CO2 gas container. The NDIR CO2-sensor has an excellent long-term stability, which provides years of stable CO2 measurement. Also the other parts as the sample gas pump, valve and fittings are designed for maintenance-free use over years. Humidity effects are compensated upto 95% rh at 37°C, also temperature effects are automatically corrected upto 50°C. The other way to control gas atmospheres in any life science equipment is to use gas mixing units GMS_2CH ( 2 channels ) or GMS_3CH ( 3 channels ) for N2, O2 and CO2. They can match flowrates up to 80 liters per minute with a concentration range up to 100 Vol% O2 and/or CO2.
