Aeration of Fish basins
Salmonoids are especially demanding about water quality and high oxygen content. The oxygen concentration should be kept at least 5 mg/l throughout the year. This ensures good condition of fish and facilitates quick maturity without disturbances.
Sufficient oxygen content near the basin bottom (2 mg/l) prevents leaching of nutrients and in particular phosphor into the water. Dissolved nutrients have a detrimental impact on water quality and – at worst – can cause growth of cyanobacterium. Furthermore, nutrients can transfer from fish basins to cause loading on other waterways. The Waterix AIRIT® product family has aerators to match different fish hatchery basin sizes. Waterix can help you to choose the right device – just contact us! The operating efficiency of Waterix AIRIT® aerator is very high – energy consumption remains low.

Air control for wastewater treatment aeration
Aeration Process Introduction: Waste Water Treatment removes impurities and contaminants from a com¬munity`s sewage utilizing a number of different processes and a variety of equipment. One of the processes is the use of surface aerated basins that use aerobic micro-organisms to remove 80 to 90% of organic matter in waste water. Oxygen concentration in the water basins is a critical factor to promote the optimum micro-organism growth rate needed to treat the water in the shortest amount of time. As a result, large compressors are used to force air through hundreds of air diffusion filters at the bottom of the aeration basins, providing a constant 24/7 supply of oxygen to the micro-organisms in the water.

Flow measurement instrumentation for waste water treatment flow solutions
With its high turndown and direct mass flow, our immersible thermal meters are the instrument of choice for measuring aeration basin air flow and monitoring digester gas. Our vortex meters are used to measure steam in the cogeneration processes, while our ultrasonic flowmeters are used for influent and effluent measurement.
