With Sound Velocity through the water being of prime importance during seismic surveys, Valeport offer a variety of sensors and probes to measure sound velocity with an unsurpassed accuracy level. Whether you require just a sensor or a SVP for profiling, we have products for surface use and up to 6000m depth operation.
Civil engineers, consultants and contractors can use ImpulseRadar GPR for: Concrete / structure investigations and mapping: conduits, depth of cover, post-tension cables, rebar, slab thickness and voids. Bridge, road and runway investigations: asphalt thickness, base layer profiling and thickness, reinforcement evaluations, structure, subsidence and voids. Utility detection and mapping.
For survey operations up to 6000m depth (and deeper by special request), Valeport offer instruments to measure and record the classic physical parameters of Temperature, Depth, Salinity, Density, Currents and Waves. Along with the most accurate Sound Velocity sensors in the world; the ability to interface other parameters / sensors such as pH, Dissolved Oxygen Turbidity, Flourometer, Transmissometer and PAR; Housings and deployment frames to suit in-line moorings, profiling and seabed deployments, Valeport can...
Key to any Hydrographic survey is tidal data and Valeport offer tide gauge options for both shore based and offshore / seabed applications together with telemetry packages for secure data transfer.
Echo sounders, both single and multi-beam need sound velocity data to correctly produce depth measurements. Valeport offer the largest range in sound velocity sensors and profilers that have world beating accuracy.
If simple, small boat echo sounding is required with single or dual frequency transducers and interface...
SIMS - for depth profiling, surface composition measurement, and elemental imaging, Hiden's SIMS Workstation provides a complete analytical facility.
RGA - The Hiden quadrupole mass spectrometers provide high sensitivity detection capability for the most demanding XHV/UHV vacuum environments. The pulse ion counting detector enables measurement of both positive and negative ions through 7 continuous decades, the integral accumulation mode being used for the capture of discreet particle events.
Surface coatings and thin films are of great commercial importance in many industries and are used to enhance or provide required properties to bulk materials specific to their applications. Thin films can range from tens of Angstroms to several microns in thickness and find application in areas as diverse as optical anti-reflective coatings, architectural glazing and drug eluting thin films in the pharmaceutical industry. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) is ideally suited to characterising the surface...
GPR exploration of fresh water reservoirs allows user to examine in details the bottom.
The important feature of GPR use that is to be mentioned - it can examine the structure of the bottom. I.e. there is possible to find underwater items located inside the bottom stratum.
Also GPR can provide an information about the thickness of bottom silt or bottom ground, and its volume structure.
The same exploration is very problematic if made by other means.
In the summer 2012 VIY3-300 GPR was examined as sub-bottom...
