    The 8” Swinging Ladder Dredge is ideal for channels, rivers, marinas, lakes, and canals where maneuverability and wider cuts improve productivity. The 8” Swinging Dragon Dredge uses an 8” x 8” high chrome, hull mounted dredging pump for wear resistant, efficient pumping. The dredge can cut a maximum path of up to 22’ wide allowing the dredge to cut a wider path than most one truck transportable dredges.

    Cutting efficiency is greatly affected by variability in soil density, hardness, lithology, and sediment particle size distribution. All of these factors create slurry of variable makeup and density. If the dredge pump works at a constant speed, the slurry will have a variable flow velocity, which is undesirable and potentially dangerous. If the velocity is too low, there is a risk of sandouts in the pipeline. If the velocity is too high, the pump will wear and be inefficient. Traditional velocity flowmeters with wetted parts are prone to wear, causing measurement inaccuracies, and require frequent, costly replacements

In addition, the presence of entrained gases may disturb the readings of traditional flowmeters and cause slurry density measurements to be inaccurate.

  • Industrial pool maintenance

    Maintenance of industrial pools is easily done by utilizing Watermaster`s suction dredging capabilities and independent moving capabilities. It is easy to transport our Watermaster to the site on a trailer and from there the dredger simply `walks` to the pool by itself. At the pool Watermaster moves with its own propulsion system and can also move to another pool by using its excavator assembly and spuds. From the pool the dredger can pump the mass in another pool up to one and a half kilometres away. By backhoe work it can build and repair the pool banks.
