    Water Treatment for Drinking Water

There are many different drinking water applications that are appropriate for AdEdge Technologies’ solutions. Small community water providers, both private and public, have found the AdEdge modular or packaged units to be the correct answer to a variety of contaminant issues. Our systems also provide safe drinking water for dairy farms and other agricultural applications.  Individual residences use POU (point-of-use) and POE (point-of-entry) systems to ensure the quality of their water.

  • Water Treatment for Municipal Drinking Water

Municipalities use TIGG’s water treatment equipment all across the United States. Our experts work with consulting firms, engineers and local water authorities to design and manufacture integrated adsorption systems for the removal of drinking water contaminates such as metals, organics and solids through the use of granular activated carbon, sand, multi-media, and resins.

Water Treatment Solutions for Turbidity Removal

Turbidity is a measure of the loss of light transmittance through a liquid due to suspended particles. The more particles in the water, the murkier it looks or the higher the turbidity. This is a measure of the quality of the water. It is measured in units called Nephelometric Turbidity Units (NTU). Turbidity can be caused by run off after a heavy rain as erosion washes soil into a river or lake. It is often increased in the spring and fall when the water temperature at different levels in a lake change causing a turnover of those levels, bringing sediment, plants, and algae to the top.

Assessing underground infrastructure for water industry

America’s growth and development is dependent on reliable water provisions. Currently 3.9 trillion gallons of water are consumed in the United States per month, & the average American uses 176 gallons of water per day. Sources for drinking water are becoming less reliable as time passes. While nearly 70 percent of the world is covered by water, only 2.5 percent of it is fresh with the rest being saline and ocean-based. Water is a precious resource, therefore needs to be conserved and used appropriately. In order to achieve this, water utilities must increase efficiency. Much of current water loss is blamed on outdated infrastructure since a large part of the water delivery systems in the United States dates back to years shortly after World War II. Water utilities require a thorough and cost-effective means of inspecting their assets. EnTech can help you meet your water sustainability and efficiency needs.

  • Gas infusion technology solutions for the water treatment industry

Every municipality in the developed world has some form of water and wastewater treatment system. This varies from simple outfalls direct to the ocean to very sophisticated activated sludge plants with multiple unit processes dedicated to converting human waste, industrial effluents and storm runoff into clean water discharges and solids acceptable for some form of reuse. inVentures using its gas inFusion technology, has developed the gPRO system for the prevention and remediation of major algae blooms that negatively affect the water quality for millions of people. The company is currently working with several major water authorities on algae prevention programs by efficiently oxygenating specific regions of the water storage areas. Target Oxygenation prevents the build up of algal masses. Algal masses often require expensive treatment remedies and cause major taste and odor issues within drinking water supplies.

Assessing underground infrastructure for wastewater industry

Sewer management is crucial to the sustainability of life. It is necessary to properly discharge wastewater clinically and efficiently. Failure in wastewater systems will cause major implications in the future. The population is increasing, and larger volumes of wastewater put additional strain on existing sewer infrastructure. Each year there are nearly 75,000 such overflows in the United States, discharging approximately 900 billion gallons of untreated sewage into lakes, streams, and rivers. This affects our drinking water which, in turn, affects human habitation. The Clean Water Act of 1972 is a Federal Law that regulates and governs water pollution in the United States. It expects public utilities to properly treat and discharge water. Sewer owners need a reliable and cost-effective way of inspecting wastewater systems to make sure they are in compliance with federal regulations. EnTech improves the integrity of your wastewater collection systems.

  • Water Disinfection for Aircraft

Drinking Water Treatment and Disinfection for the Transport Industry Even Airbus, the world’s largest aircraft manufacturer implements the REDO technology. Prior to delivering the new aircrafts, all of the drinking water pipelines are disinfected with the REDO Technology. Then the water tanks are filled with disinfected water from a REDO unit. A significant advantage is the enormously reduced service time, in comparison to alternative methods. In addition, one profits from a better work-flow and last but not least, from the guarantee of maximum safety – there are no hazardous potentials with the REDO Technology.

Ultraviolet disinfection systems for the USEPA UVDM validation

For drinking water applications, atg UV Technology`s independently 3rd party validated UV systems are sized to deliver both 40 mJ/cm2 RED UV Dose, or a 3 log (99.9%) to 5 log (99.999%) reductions of Cryptosporidium. As a leading testing and validation protocol, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) Ultraviolet Disinfection Guidance Manual (UVDGM) 2006 provides an advanced testing and validation method for guaranteeing UV disinfection performance for a large range of operating conditions, such as flow rate and water quality measured in UVT% (Ultraviolet Transmittance).

Ultraviolet disinfection systems for the food & beverage industry

Waterborne micro-organisms are responsible for adverse affects on the flavour, colour, odour, and shelf life of soft drinks, bottled water and food products. It is therefore the fundamental objective of food and beverage manufacturers to eliminate micro-organisms from process water, product water and sugar solutions to overcome this problem. A wide range of Ultraviolet disinfection units have been specially designed and developed by atg UV Technology, allowing manufacturers to gain complete control over these potential contaminants, vastly reducing the risk of costly production down time, product recall or even fatality.
