    PermeatecDS is a unique polymer technology developed by TAL and is aimed specifically at the control of dust and stabilisation of loose, granular materials. PermeatecDS can be applied to such materials – as an aqueous surface spray – to control dust and provide a hard, durable surface. In addition, it can be mixed directly with loose, granular material to provide a solid block of material. PermeatecDS is a complex acrylate-based polymer system, designed to be dispersed in water, aiding application and improving safety/handling. The polymer is able to coat and bind loose materials, forming a complex web of interlocking particles and polymer, which – when dried – form a hard, durable material. The ability to change application rates, provides the user with precise control and allows stabilisation levels, strength and durability to be tailored as required.

    Emission Control Systems for Opencast Mines and Quarries

    High volumes of dust, often extending over large areas, present a major challenge for the operators of opencast mines and quarries. If conditions are also dry and windy, the dust will affect not only the workforce but also, in many cases, entire housing estates in the vicinity. The sources of dust in surface mining areas are often distributed over very large expanses, with dust originating from various places. With their large projection range, EmiControls dust controllers are ideal for such applications. Mobile versions of the machines can be moved easily and therefore used to control dust at various sources. Individually adapted spray systems can also be used in this field of application. The system in any given case can be controlled by a computer, thanks to the user-friendly software.

    Posi-Shell erosion control coatings are the perfect low-cost solution to protect and stabilize slopes. Our long-term coatings are spray-applied and allow engineers or operators to protect acres (hectares) of slope in a single day. The finished coating is durable and textured, reducing water energy across large areas. The final product eliminates erosion, siltation, and (as a result) expensive rework. The product can be designed to last for years and is easily tracked into slopes when intermediate protection is no longer necessary. Active areas may be left open or quickly resealed if required. Posi-Shell erosion control coatings are ideal for protecting expensive piles of salt, coal, or cement clinker; and are used extensively for containing hazardous or radioactive soils.
