There is a requirement for many small boiler operators to monitor Opacity to determine the smoke density emitted from the boiler. On small boilers we recommend the DCEM 1001 Opacity monitor; this simple, low cost monitor has high efficiency air purges use compressed air to ensure that optical surfaces are virtually free of dust or debris contamination. This ensures minimal maintenance is required on the sensors.
For large combustion plants and power plants we offer the DCEM 2100 particulate monitor. This monitor is certified to EN 15267 part 3 QAL 1 for all industrial processes including waste incineration. It offers outputs in Transmission, Opacity and mg/m3 (when calibrated against a Standard Reference Method). The DCEM 2100 offers real-time zero and span calibration and an efficient air purge system to prevent optical contamination.
The frequency and intensity of dust and sand storms in many parts of the world are steadily increasing due to droughts and climate change. The severity of such storms is anticipated to increase over the coming years.
These dust storms may last hours or days and cause huge damage and imposed a heavy toll on society with its physical effects, such as visibility reduction, heavy winds, red sky, hailstone and severe lightning.
Such Dust storms, have a negative impact on human health, and industrial products and...
Most industrial processes have dust collectors of some form or other, the most popular being filter bag houses. Very few of these are covered by regulation other than to have a broken bag detector to prevent nuisance dusts escaping and creating a local nuisance. The CODEL StakGard is a low cost Tribo-electric monitor that directly measures mass particulate concentration by sensing the frictional charge created when particles collide with a conductor. The advanced electronics of the StakGard detect this signal and...
Air is lifeblood. Daily we inhale approximately 15.000 liter. Still, the air contains invisible pollutants, which vary in its composition and concentration depending on the location. Especially the respirable particles with a diameter of less than 2.5 µm (PM 2.5) were considered to be particularly dangerous.
