  • GIS software for archaeology

Archaeologists, as researchers and resource managers, understand the importance of geography. Its variables exert a strong influence on human behavior today, and archaeologists are aware of the significance of this influence in the past. Geography also influences the degree of exposure of archaeological sites, and the impacts that they face from human activity and natural forces. GIS facilitates mapping to analyze depositional patterns as well as catalog and quantify artifacts. It can provide a well-structured descriptive and analytical tool for identifying spatial patterns.

  • Plant Breeding Research

Biotechnology utilizes transgenic manipulation to change the genetic make-up of plants. Plant breeding is conducted world-wide for a variety of reasons, including improvement of nutritional value, economic opportunity, and environmental adaptation and preservation. Today, international development organizations assert that genetically engineered crops are an important factor in ensuring global health and food security, while simultaneously benefiting farmers, producers, and food manufacturing companies. As such, scientists have developed new higher-yielding varieties that are not only resistant to pests and diseases, but also drought-resistant, or easily adapted to different regional environments and growing conditions

  • Industrial and commercial water filtration for environmental

These days we are becoming more and more aware of our environmental impact and carbon footprint, and in some cases the Government may even penalise companies who are not doing all they can to minimise the environmental impact of their activities. The Environment Agency instill certain limitations for industrial waste water users in regards to where and how water may be discharged – whether accidentally or purposefully, the discharge of waste water in to a river can lead to costly fines and very bad PR for your company.

Medical and Bio-hazard Waste Treatment Technology with zero emissions

The OZONATOR technology is the new NG-3000 model capable of processing up to 400 kg (880 lbs.) of waste every twenty minutes (1200 kg per hour) and can operate on a continuous basis 24 hours per day – 7 days per week with about one hour per week for service and cleaning. The waste is shredded with up to 90% reduction in volume and treated with a high concentration of ozone (sterilized) and then compacted into a stainless steel transport bin for disposal at landfill as general waste (daily cover) or the treated waste can be used as fuel in a WTE (waste-to-energy) facility. Air cleaning system for the K-12 education

The grades are in: a 2006 national report,Greening America’s Schools, concluded that environmentally friendly school buildings lead to lower operating costs, improved test scores, and enhanced student health. The report, produced by Capital E and co-sponsored by The American Institute of Architects (AIA), concluded that environmentally friendly schools save an average of $100,000 each year. The study examined 30 green schools built between 2001 and 2006, and determined that the total financial benefits of green schools are 20 times greater than their initial cost difference. Measurable benefits include energy and water savings, improved student health and higher test scores.

  • Aquatic Respirometry

Aquatic respiration can be simply yet accurately measured on intact, live organisms using a variety of Strathkelvin Instruments respirometry systems. As with all of our respirometry systems, an aquatic system would comprise of an oxygen meter (either 782 or 928), one or more, high precision, 1302 oxygen electrodes (link) and a respiration chamber to house the organism. The researcher also has a choice of measuring respiration rates via closed or flow-through respirometry. Both closed and flow-through systems utilise the same oxygen meters and 1302 oxygen electrodes, however, the chamber in which the organism is housed will differ.Respiration of aquatic organisms (closed cell method)
