  • Erosion Control & Sediment Control

Nilex’s engineered erosion control and sediment control products reduce the damaging effects of rainfall, wind and wave action on soil structures while replacing or reducing the dependency on scarce natural resources.

    Erosion Control

Geosynthetic erosion control products are designed to reduce damaging effects of rainfall, run-off, and wave and wind action on soil structures by redirecting water flow or acting as a barrier between the soil surface and water.

Nilex Erosion Control systems include: Erosion Control Blankets (ECBs); Turf Reinforcement Mats(TRMs); Gabion systems; Concrete Revetment and Mattresses; and Cellular Confinementsystems.

    Sediment Control

Properly implemented sediment control practices can result in minimal soil loss, little damage to
off-site receiving channels, enhanced project aesthetics and fewer complaints from regulators and the public.

Nilex Sediment Control systems include: GeoRidge Bio; Silt Fence; Turbidity Curtains;SedimentSTOP and Wattles; and Water Inflated Dams.

  • Erosion control and separation for hydraulic works

Tidal fluctuations and wave action can cause major damage to coastlines and off-shore construction projects. Nonwoven and specialty woven geotextiles can be used as a filter under layer beneath stone/ rock armour. Also riprap or synthetic erosion control mats are used to control erosion by disallowing the sub grade soil particles to erode. The geotextiles prevent erosion carried off by runoff water or other erosive waters, such as waves, stream flow, etc.

  • Erosion & sediment control solutions for wetlands

The largest threat to wetlands is the risk of being flooded with sediment as a result of a poorly managed construction site. Most construction projects require erosion control to prevent damage to the wetlands.

  • Slope Erosion Control

Problem: Soil particles are susceptible to being detached and carried away with concentrated runoff streams, forming rills and gullies that grow with time. The slope integrity is diminished, eroding the slope face and becoming a larger environmental and safety issue. Slopes steeper than the natural angle of repose for the slope materials require additional protection measures, as are slopes subject to more severe hydraulic stresses.

  • Erosion & sediment control solutions for costal/beach region

Coastal erosion is the wearing away of land or the removal of beach or dune sediments by wave action, tidal currents, wave currents, or drainage. Removing sand and other materials from beaches and dunes due to tidal storm surges and construction purposes causes massive beach erosion damages and land loss of seashores, thus destroying the natural heritage of the coast and reducing the vibrancy of the tourism industry. Uprooting vegetation from coastal areas destabilises beaches and clearing sites inland results in increased soil and dirt particles being washed offshore and smothering coral reef systems.

  • Erosion & sediment control solutions for soil remediation

REMEDIAL ACTION PRACTICES include the requirements to develop erosion and sedimentation control plans, specifying plan content and soil conservation measures to keep sediment–laden mud from washing into storm sewers and watersheds where debris can clog creek channels and choke off aquatic life. Sediment control BMPs combine structural and non–structural measures used to avoid or minimize pollutants accumulated by environmental hazards across impervious surfaces.

  • Erosion & sediment control solutions for water remediation

`Water should never be treated as a nonrenewable resource; it should always be treated with the respect it deserves as the foundation of life on the planet.` Most water on earth is in a continuous cycle between water bodies, land and the atmosphere. An important component of smart water solutions is the cycling of water treatment solutions using processes by which water enters, moves through and exits soil are essential for sustaining plants and soil organisms, transporting nutrients and recharging surface and ground water supplies. Water moving in soil also impacts the behavior and transport of soil solutes and their effect on water quality.

    Landfill Alternative Daily Cover Equipment

Save time, labor, and SPACE in the management of your landfill. Designed specifically for use in the extreme environments of landfills, the LF120 HydroSeeder®, an exclusive FINN Landfill Solution™, is an efficient solution for applying alternative daily cover (ADC), as well as the application of materials to control odor, dust and erosion. The LF120 will cover the average open face in less than 1 hour using only one tank load. A tower discharge distance up to 180 feet allows for efficient ground coverage. Maneuvering on uneven surfaces and rough terrain is made easier by high clearance, heavy-duty tandem 10,000-pound rubber torsion suspension axles, along with tubeless, high flotation tires with a wide tread design

  • Fly Ash Disposal Cover

LSC has two distinct products that address the unique challenges common to fly ash monofills. For sites interested in long-term solutions for dust, leaching, and erosion, Posi-Shell Environmental Coatings deliver a nearly impenetrable cover that lasts for years. For sites only interested in dust control, our all-natural and biodegradable product, Posi-Clear, reduces fugitive dust by bonding surface fines into a long lasting cohesive layer. Posi-Clear is not a chloride or a P.A.M. which makes it environmentally friendly.

  • Geo Bags

Geo Bags have the following advantages : -Affordable price with global standard specification -Available Ex-stock or fastest delivery, avoid blockage of money against container load Staggered delivery for sizable quantity acceptable. -In compare to conventional erosion protection work using C.C. Block, gravel, hard rock etc, sand filled geobags technology involves less cost. -World widely it has been seen that erosion protection work using Geo bags requires less installation and maintenance cost light weight equipment, less space for construction works, transportation cost, less energy requirement. -The constructing materials like sand of geo bag are locally available and cost-effective compared to importing boulders from other countries. -The manufacturing of geo bags and quality control of the bags are easy compared to the C.C. blocks and boulders.

  • Posi-Shell Coatings

Posi-Shell erosion control coatings are the perfect low-cost solution to protect and stabilize slopes. Our long-term coatings are spray-applied and allow engineers or operators to protect acres (hectares) of slope in a single day. The finished coating is durable and textured, reducing water energy across large areas. The final product eliminates erosion, siltation, and (as a result) expensive rework. The product can be designed to last for years and is easily tracked into slopes when intermediate protection is no longer necessary. Indeed, when integrated, Posi-Shell actually improves soil quality by conditioning it for future seeding. Posi-Shell’s simplicity and durability make it tremendously effective at controlling windblown dust, infiltration, or runoff associated with clean or contaminated stockpiles. Unlike cumbersome tarps or geo-membranes, Posi-Shell erosion control coatings are spray applied and do not require any ballast. Posi-Shell conforms and adheres to any topography and delivers 100% clean runoff. Stockpile loading or removal is accomplished by breaking into the coating where desired. Active areas may be left open or quickly resealed if required. Posi-Shell erosion control coatings are ideal for protecting expensive piles of salt, coal, or cement clinker; and are used extensively for containing hazardous or radioactive soils.
