Fingerprinting all kinds of materials analyzed in forensic analysis
Forensic scientists generally require fast and non-destructive analysis of a very wide range of materials. Often these materials are presented in very small quantity, as evidence collected from a crime scene. Using ED-XRF allows to measure a wide range of elements and concentrations: C(6)-Fm(100), without any need of sample preparations. Samples can be measured in many different formats such as powder, solid, liquid or in thin films.
Police can use GPRs in different forensic investigations (search for hidden burials, underground hiding places and passages etc.). Military uses of GPR include location and detection of buried explosive devices and land mines.
Forensic labs are improving throughput and eliminating backlog by using DART. Presentation of sample and standards is routine and requires just seconds per sample to determine quantity and quality of seized narcotics and OTC drugs of abuse. Synthetic cannabinoids and bath salts are easily detected and identified with confirmation using simple mass spectrometry methods and comparison with NIST library standards. Explosives, arson, counterfeit currency, tax stamps and even drugs in body fluids present no problem...
If you are an avid hunter, target shooter, gunsmith, rifle collector, firearms manufacturer, or forensic scientist you will find our borescopes extremely valuable for proper care and maintenance of your rifle barrels. A high quality, well maintained barrel leads to tighter groupings on the target. Inspecting the grooves in the firearm can be completed to find erosion, fouling and tool-marks which effect accuracy. Rigid Borescopes and Rigid Video Borescopes are mostly used in the gun and rifle`s barrel inspections.
