  • Continuous emissions monitoring for carbon capture and storage

The process control of a CO2 capture plant needs good and reliable detection of gas phase NH3. Measuring NH3 is a challenge due to the corrosive environment and high concentrations of NH3. Several places in the process needs to be monitored and to transport the sample is difficult. A large dynamic range is needed as the NH3 concentration can vary between 15% volume and a few mg/m3.

  • Cloud software solutions for bulk petroleum storage

Mitigate regulatory risk. Run your AST facilities at peak efficiency. Bulk petroleum facilities face onerous environmental demands. Demands that if not met consistently and with precision, could cost you tens of thousands of dollars per day and even threaten to hobble your operation. Titan automates even the most thorny areas of AST regulatory compliance, from spill prevention and ground water protection, to alarm monitoring and testing that meets API standards. So you`ll be on top of every test & inspection date, every critical document and equipment spec, and every maintenance activity to ensure your business keeps pace with its opportunity for growth.

Gas analysis & monitoring system for semiconductor

The Cleanroom is a combined laboratory chemical, mechanical and / or electronic whose main characteristic is the presence of very pure air, that is a very low content of fine dust in suspension. In the process of semiconductor production, the airborne particles (micro-powder) go to irreparably damage the micro-photoetched that form the chip, creating an electronic circuit defective, and then discarded. This process has forced the improvement of industrial production environments, removing particles from the air, for two purposes: to increase the efficiency of production, increasing the yield of quality, and requirement of the manufacturer (of course based on the demand of the market) in shrink increasing the area of etching of semiconductors (just think of the USB storage media in a few years, went from 16 MB to 16 GB without changing the external dimensions).

  • Carbon Monoxide (CO) monitoring

Carbon monoxide poisoning is the most common type of fatal poisoning in many industrialized countries. Carbon monoxide is a colourless, odorless and tasteless gas caused by the incomplete combustion of hydrocarbon fuels. Carbon monoxide is a toxic gas to the human body, when inhaled it binds to hemoglobin, myoglobin, and mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase reducing oxygen storage, transport and respiration in these organelles.

  • Air and particule sampling for the oil and gas industries

Ormantine offers a wide range of products and services to meet the array of different needs that arise in the oil and gas industries. Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), benzene, and other compounds are released during drilling, hydraulic fracturing (fracking) and other extraction procedures. Monitor NOx emissions from heavy duty equipment, particulate matter, and ground level ozone, the formation of which is contributed to by VOCs from processing, transportation, and storage of oil and gas.

  • Moisture Monitoring in Food Packaging for the Food & Beverage Industry

Foil-wrapped foods are often sealed with air, or an inert gas. It is possible to extend the storage life of the food if the air trapped between the foil and the food is replaced with nitrogen of very low moisture content .

  • Integrated real-time gas analysis solution for chemical weapon agents

The nation has stockpiled thousands of cylinders and canisters of toxic and deadly chemical weapon agents, including mustard gas (HD), sarin (GB), tabun (GA), and V-agents. Most of these CWAs are stored at DOD facilities around the country and many have been in storage for years and years. As a consequence, DOD requirements specify that the stockpiles have to be monitored regularly for leakages to prevent release to the environment and exposure to personnel.

Measurement of ethylene oxide for monitoring workplace exposure limits

The Series 8900 Ethylene Oxide Analyzer combines the selectivity of gas chromatography with the sensitivity of a Photoionization Detector (PID) providing interference free response to Ethylene Oxide (EtO) at levels below 0.05 ppm. This analytical method is referenced in OSHA`s `Occupational Exposure to Ethylene Oxide: Final Standard` 29 CFR Part 1910. The system documents exposure levels including: time-weighted averages (TWA), short-term exposure limits (STEL) and instantaneous alarms. Areas that are typically monitored include; EtO Sources - gas storage areas, sterilizer doors, aeration doors, and the General Work Area - decontamination, packaging and preparation and sterile product storage areas.
