Determination of heavy metals in food

This analytical procedure is intended for measuring the content of the elements (cadmium, lead, arsenic, tin, chromium and mercury) in the samples of food products by atomic absorption spectrometry with electrothermal atomization using an “MGA-915M” Graphite Furnace AA Spectrometer.

The method is based on measuring resonance radiation absorption that occurs when the radiation passes through a layer of atomic vapor in the electrically heated graphite furnace of the “MGA-915M” AA spectrometer. The concentration of the elements is determined from the integrated analytical signal and is calculated using a preset calibration graph. The samples of food products are digested prior to analysis in accordance with standard methods.

    Scrap Metal Recycling

Recognized as an industry leader in shredder recycling, we operate 50 recycling facilities for metal, green waste, plastic, food waste, rubber, tires, RDF waste. Harden’s facilities are designed with safety and efficiency in mind for both employees and customers. Our equipment is maintained and updated regularly and our scales are calibrated quarterly. The properties of metals provide unique benefits and advantages for their recycling. Unlike other recycled materials, such as paper and plastic, metals can be repeatedly recycled without degradation of their properties. Metals from secondary sources are just as good as metals from the primary sources. The scrap metal recycling lines are extremely heavy duty systems designed for processing scrap steel, electronic waste, aluminum castings and profiles, ect. We offer both medium and high capacity plants which benefit from low maintenance & operational costs, and lower capital investment when compared with the traditional systems.

  • Metal cutting for the metal recycling industry

Because metal scrap arrives for re-melting in many forms, it must first be processed. Heavy, bulky scrap should be densified and sheared in a guillotine scrap shear.

  • Laser & Plasma Cutting

Laser & Plasma Cutting fumes are Unbreathable. Using laser or plasma cutting equipment on either metals or plastics introduces several known carcinogens, such as fused silica and ethyl acrylate, into the air. Occupational Health and Safety organizations recommend reducing personal exposure to the lowest level feasible. Hand held plasma cutting provides metalworkers with a quick and fast way to cut large sheets of metal material. However, plasma and oxy cutting generate a large amount of sparks, slag and fume which can contain different pollutants depending on the type of material being cut. Diversitech's line of downdraft tables incorporating the plasma cutting kit are designed to extinguish the sparks and slag, using heavy duty steel bar grating and a gravel filled baffle tray while the blower pulls away all of the toxic plasma cutting fumes. When considering how to capture and filter the fumes generated from large CNC plasma cutting and laser cutting machines, a large central dust

  • Remedial Construction for Mining and Metals

ENTACT is the industry leader in the management and treatment of heavy metal impacted soil, sludge, and debris. Approximately half of the projects we have completed over the past 21 years have involved metals. These projects have included soil and sediment removal, residential cleanups, smelter closures, earthwork/mine reclamation, and decontamination and demolition of mine and mill structures at both active and abandoned facilities. ENTACT holds seven patents related to treatment of heavy metal impacted materials.

  • Wastewater treatment for the metallurgic industry

Waste water in this sector has a high concentration of heavy metals, oils and products in decomposition. The oils and emulgents lead to foam production at the water treatment plants. The treatment of these oils is very important.

Evaporation technology for mining & primary metals industries

Water is essential component in the mining and steel industries. The main needs under this aspect are optimizing the management of the resources, improving productivity by treating available water for specific production process requirements and managing environmental risks by treating contaminated pond and underground mine water to remove heavy metals, arsenic and other contaminants for safe discharge into sensitive environment.

  • Metal Precipitation

When used as part of a wastewater treatment program, Remotox (calcium polysulfide) can effectively reduce and precipitate a wide range of heavy metals. This product has proven effective even when treating chelated and/or complexed metals. Its unique formulation also removes chromates and dichromates without preliminary reduction of the chromium to the trivalent state.

  • Industrial shredders system for metal shredding sector

Metal swarf is valuable and heavy, and often voluminous; Three reasons to separate them into their components. Transportation becomes more efficient with reduced volume where it can then be reprocessed and transformed into cash. With WEIMA technology it is possible to shred all kinds of light metals to include aluminum or magnesium, also copper and brass. Irrespective of profile; tin, foil, long swarf or punching waste.
