Water quality monitoring systems for high water purifier industry
The monitoring of “Ultra Pure Water” or “High Purity Water” requires the lowest possible detection limits for process analyzers. Resistivity is often around 18 MΩ. Dedicated instruments can detect infinitely small amounts (ppt e.g. parts per trillion) of ions.

Industrial water demineralisation
Deionized water, also known as demineralised water, is water that has had its mineral ions removed, such as cations like sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, and anions such as chloride, nitrate, sulfate, bicarbonate and even silica. Deionization is a chemical process that uses specially manufactured ion exchange resins which exchange hydrogen ion and hydroxide ion for dissolved minerals, which then recombine to form water. Because the majority of water impurities are dissolved salts, deionization produces a high purity water that is generally similar to distilled water, and this process is quick and without scale buildup.

Industrial water Nickel & Cobalt purification
Cobalt is a brittle, hard transition metal with magnetic properties similar to iron. It is mainly used as an alloy with iron, nickel or other metals to produce corrosion and wear resistant products for high temperature applications (such as jet engines, gas turbines, etc.). Cobalt is normally produced as a by-product of nickel or copper mining. The purity requirements for Cobalt do not allow nickel to exceed a concentration 0.1%. Earlier, the nickel was removed by lime precipitations, but as the market specifications became more stringent, ion exchange technologies have been applied.

Water treatment research for pharmaceuticals industry
Ultrapure water is essential in the pharmaceutical industry as it provides a high purity solution free of biological contamination for use in medical products. Supplying these systems is market worth 714 million. There is a shift in the industry as manufacturers of low-cost generic drugs take advantage of the expiry of patents on blockbuster drugs. Water technology suppliers need to be able to supply a reliable system to fit the increasingly tightened budgets within the industry. Developing markets like India, Brazil and China are more attractive with outsourced manufacturing and government efforts to boost domestic production.

Deionized Water Testing
Years ago, high purity water was used only in limited applications. Today, deionized (Dl) water has become an essential ingredient in hundreds of applications including: medical, laboratory, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, electronics manufacturing, food processing, plating, countless industrial processes, and even the final rinse at the local car wash.

Resin technology solutions for the semiconductor - electronics sector
Purolite ion exchange resins for ultrapure water are specially manufactured to meet the precise needs of the electronics industry for wafer and microchip production. These needs require the highest possible water quality (less than 1 ppb Total Organic Carbon (TOC) and greater than 18.2 MΩ·cm resistivity, with minimum rinse times), while eliminating contamination of the high purity circuits when ion exchange resin is first installed.
