To ensure high-precision performance from temperature measurement devices, reliable calibration is required. Primary calibration sources are traceable to National Standards via a certified probe installed in the radiation cavity. Reference sources achieve traceability either by comparison with certified thermometers, or through purchasing a calibration certificate.
