State-of-the-art systems enabling easy monitoring of CO2 and CH4 gases. Capped Landfill Sites produce a range of gases, mostly methane and carbon dioxide. Legislation requires that these gases are safely removed from beneath the cap to avoid a physical explosion due to the build-up of pressure beneath the cap. Safe disposal usually entails burning such as flare stacks, internal combustion engines or by processing to produce Methane gas fuel. For large sites with access to power distribution infrastructure...
Our range of gas monitoring instruments are used to measure the constituents of Biogas and monitor Landfill sites for Methane (CH4), Carbon dioxide (CO2), Hydrogen sulphide (H2S), Carbon Monoxide(CO) and Oxygen (O2).
Mining landfill is an innovative practice, which is a paradigm shift in waste management, where landfills can be considered storage of feedstock for waste to energy plants such as Gasplasma®. It works by: Extracting buried waste / Recovering valuable recyclates: glass, metals, hard plastics / Returning land for alternative uses / Eliminating greenhouse gas emissions caused by decomposing wastes
Application: In March 1986 an explosion destroyed a bungalow adjacent to a landfill site in Loscoe, Derbyshire. Subsequent measurements showed that 150-200 cubic meters of gas per hour were being generated by landfill waste. This event triggered a change in the way the waste industry considered and regulated gas generated at landfill sites; resulting in the landfill regulations of 2002, and in particular LFTGN03: the Guidance on the Management of landfill Gas.
"Spent" catalysts are strictly regulated due to the environmental concerns they pose, and since landfill disposal is unacceptable, companies suffer big expenses.
Vulcan® Systems' technology removes the hydrocarbons from spent catalysts, recovering valuable materials such as nickel, vanadium, molybdenum, and platinum.
Catalysts are essential in the refining of petrochemicals into clean fuel and other valuable products.
Carbon Activated Corporation supplies a complete line of high-capacity activated carbon for vapor phase and air applications such as odor control in municipal waste-water facilities, landfills and refineries, SVE (soil vapor extraction) projects and many other vapor related applications. We manufacture specialized carbon both impregnated and non-impregnated for applications such as H2S removal and the removal of any time of noxious gases.
The needs to purify the water coming from human consumption are becoming more numerous, before being discharged to natural ecosystems, in wastewater treatment plants. It also increases the need for solid waste treatment in landfills to minimize environmental impact.
CairNet is a simple and efficient way to monitor processes and plant surroundings via a wireless communicating network and autonomous (solar panel and battery). CairNet surveys fugitive emissions of toxic gases or odourous gases around waste water treatment plants (WWTP), allowing you to react quickly to gas leaks. CairNet allows the wireless survey of hundreds of measurement points within a 200m radius of the wireless receiver for a much efficient installation cost.
Cairpol systems can be used for fugitive...
What are siloxanes? The generation of electricity from municipal digesters and land fill is of increasing interest, as the biogas generated is a form of renewable energy. Organosilicon compounds are often present in products such as shampoo and cosmetics, as well as industrial products and lubricants, and they move into land-fill. These volatile compounds find their way into land-fill or digester gases as siloxanes.
The Natural Energy Solution uses a proprietary, patented process called Gas Phase Reduction (”GPR”). This is a highly effective, non-incineration method that converts all organic waste that finds its way into the landfill site. The GPR processing plant would ideally be built at an existing landfill site. This takes full advantage of the current infrastructure for the collection of local and regional waste.
For temporary installation of a are, needed for only a short time in one place to handle localized waste
gas disposal problem. SIES offers skid-mounted Mobile Flares Units to allow mobility. Such types of systems are useful for Gas pipe line/ Gas distribution network within a large plant (Petrochemical & Refineries) & Landfills. SIES design & Supply Mobile Flare for Oil and Gas industry, Waste gases, LFG operations and tank Cleaning operations. The Flares
have inbuilt capabilities to handle wide variety of gas...
