    Methane gas leak detection

Methane emissions from oil and natural gas systems is primarily the result of normal operations or system disruptions. These hazardous emissions can be cost-effectively reduced by upgrading technologies or equipment, and by improving operations. However, in order to do so, one must be able to detect and identify the existence of a fugitive gas leak. Opgal`s EyeC Gas Thermal Imager for gas leak detection, is one of the most advanced cameras used to detect leaks. Thus, it becomes a required tool in mitigating and reducing fugitive emissions of methane gas.

    VOCs gas leak detection

An oil refinery or petroleum refinery is an industrial process plant where crude oil is processed and refined into more useful petroleum products, such as naphtha, gasoline, diesel fuel, asphalt base, heating oil, kerosene, etc,. Oil refineries are typically large, sprawling industrial complexes with extensive piping running throughout, carrying streams of fluids between large chemical processing units. The refining process releases a number of different chemicals into the atmosphere mostly Hydrocarbons which cause severe health and safety hazards. Opgal`s EyeCGas Thermal Imager can detect the leaking gases from a distance and help reducing the threat

  • Laser detection solutions for pipeline leak detection

Unwanted liquid hydrocarbon releases from oil refineries and pipelines, as well as transportation facilities are critical infrastructure integrity/safety and environmental health concerns. Real-time sensing of these releases has to deal with complex natural and anthropogenic targets usually containing a multitude of substances producing overlapping signals. Using Laser Induced Fluorescence (LIF), LDI LiDARs are able to deal with these complex environmental factors and still detect and quantify unwanted releases remotely and in real-time mode.

Oil in Water Analysis for Flowback or Produced Water

The amount of water used in and produced by hydraulic fracturing of shale gas wells is in the millions of gallons per well. Whether the water is going to be taken off site for disposal or reused for re-injection, the flowback or produced water needs pretreatment to remove any residual oil from the water. Waiting for remote lab results can take several days to a week. InfraCal TOG/TPH Analyzers allow for oil in water testing at the well site in less than 10 minutes. The sampling requires a few simple steps that can be performed by non-technical personnel. The water is mixed with the extraction solvent, shaken, and then presented to the analyze for measurement. The same InfraCal TOG/TPH Analyzer can be used for TPH in soil if a spill or pond leak occurs to determine the contaminated area. The analyzer features: -Results in under 15 minutes -Detect levels as low as 10 ppm -Portable, rugged, lightweight, easy-to-use -Battery operable -Ideal for field or lab use
