  • Constant Pressure pump control valves

    For use with water well pumps and booster pumps, the Cycle Stop Valve (CSV) turns any pump into a variable flow, constant pressure system. Working in conjunction with a small pressure tank, the CSV is usually adjusted to the middle of the pressure switch range. IE; 40/60 PSI switch, 50 PSI CSV. The size of the pressure tank determines how much water can be used by the house, before the pressure drops to 40 PSI, and the pressure switch starts the pump. As long as flow rates in and around the house vary from 1 GPM to as much as the pump can produce, the CSV maintains a constant 50 PSI on the system. When there is no more flow required for the house, the CSV allows the little pressure tank to fill to 60 PSI, and the pump is shut off by the pressure switch.

    QCAL introduces CO2Control for incubators and test chambers. These gas dosing units can be adapted to nearly every incubator or test chamber. The user can set a CO2 concentration up to 30% vol. CO2. The CO2Control measures the actual concentration and adds CO2 from a CO2 gas container. The NDIR CO2-sensor has an excellent long-term stability, which provides years of stable CO2 measurement. Also the other parts as the sample gas pump, valve and fittings are designed for maintenance-free use over years. Humidity effects are compensated upto 95% rh at 37°C, also temperature effects are automatically corrected upto 50°C. The other way to control gas atmospheres in any life science equipment is to use gas mixing units GMS_2CH ( 2 channels ) or GMS_3CH ( 3 channels ) for N2, O2 and CO2. They can match flowrates up to 80 liters per minute with a concentration range up to 100 Vol% O2 and/or CO2.

  • Force Main Systems Sulfide Odor Control with Hydrogen Peroxide

    Force main systems are typically high sulfide odor generators due to septicity conditions related to full pipe flow and a greater anaerobic slime layer (biofilm) thickness. Primary factors that influence sulfide loading generation in a force main include sewage temperature, BOD, retention time, pipe size and flow. Gaseous hydrogen sulfide (H2S) release at the force main discharge is usually the main concern related to odor and corrosion control needs; however, corrosion problems within the pipe can be of a concern (e.g. "crown cutting") at locations where air pockets can lead to concentrated H2S gas build up. Some basic considerations for assessing an appropriate sulfide odor treatment method for force main systems include: Retention time / duration of control Pump station type / cycling (e.g. vfd; start/stop, etc). Force main injection tap points, if any (e.g. air relief valves) Existence of intermediate re-lift stations or in series pump stations Manifold force main systems
