    Used tyres are among the largest and most problematic sources of waste today, due to the large volume produced and their durability. The same characteristics which make waste tyres a waste problem also make them one of the most re-used waste materials. Recycled tyre chips can be used for TDF (Tyre Derived Fuel) which is a fuel used for heat plants and cement ovens or for equestrian (i.e. rubber mixed with sand or sawdust used in the horse industry as ground in the stable or at the tracks).     For shredding OTR (Off-The-Road) tyres up to 51″, SatrindTech proposes two-shaft shredders, suitable to a volume reduction of the material. Before proceeding with the shredding phase, it is essential, however, to remove the two central rings of the tyre with a hydraulic debeader and, subsequently, to slice the tire with a hydraulic shrear so to get pieces with a proper size for being introduced in the shredder hopper. After using a two-shaft shredder to get a first reduction of the material, four-shaft shredders can be used to get a regular size of the pieces with four-shaft shredders.
