  • Wastewater treatment solutions for anaerobic sludge digestion sector

Anaerobic digestion is a series of processes in which microorganisms break down biodegradable material in the absence of oxygen, used for industrial or domestic purposes to manage waste and/or to release energy. It is widely used as part of the process to treat wastewater, like Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB) reactors. As part of an integrated waste management system, anaerobic digestion reduces the emission of landfill gas into the atmosphere. Anaerobic digestion is widely used as a renewable energy source because the process produces a methane and carbon dioxide rich biogas suitable for energy production, helping to replace fossil fuels. The nutrient-rich digestate which is also produced can be used as fertilizer. The digestion process begins with bacterial hydrolysis of the input materials in order to break down insoluble organic polymers such as carbohydrates and make them available for other bacteria. Acidogenic bacteria then convert the sugars and amino acids into carbon dioxide, hydrogen, ammonia, and organic acids. Acetogenic bacteria then convert these resulting organic acids into acetic acid, along with additional ammonia, hydrogen, and carbon dioxide. Finally, methanogens convert these products to methane and carbon dioxide.

Dominator despackaging machines for Food waste industry

Separate waste from its packaging by processing through the Dominator. Expired food, faulty packaging or rejected food can all be processed and then used for Anaerobic digestion or added to animal feed. Remove plastics and unwanted foreign objects from rejected food waste. Recovered food can either be dropped directed into a container below the Dominator, mechanically conveyed away or pumped into a tank. Processed plastics can then be recycled.

Dominator despackaging machines for Municiple waste to energy industry

Energy recovery from municipal waste is the conversion of non-recyclable waste materials into usable energy like heat, electricity, or fuel through a variety of processes, including combustion, gasification, pyrolization, anaerobic digestion and landfill gas recovery. This process is often called waste to energy by the industry.

  • Biogas for Cooking

This solution comprises a Biogas Digester of desired capacity working with specific substrate as input. It may or may not have H2S scrubbing system, depending on the quantity of H2S in the biogas and the requirement by the customer for cleaning it. As the heating value of biogas is almost half that of cooking LPG, specially designed biogas burners are provided to improve cooking speed. Depending on the demand by the customer, a blower to increase gas pressure may be employed.

Methane and Carbon Dioxide Sensing for Biogas Applications

Application: Anaerobic Digestion plants produce various gas components from a source material (or feedstock) that can be composed either solely or as a mixture of slurries, purpose-grown crops, food and organic waste material. The composition of the gas produced varies depending upon the feedstock and the Anaerobic digestion process itself. As a consequence, it is normal to measure various components of the resultant gas produced to evaluate the efficiency of the Anaerobic Digestion process. Furthermore, due to the flammable nature of Methane, and the risk of asphyxiation, most plants feature ambient air monitoring to protect personnel from any unplanned accumulation of leaked gas.

  • Wastewater treatment solutions for fat, oil & grease

Proper waste treatment and free-flowing plumbing lines are critically tied to one another. Of the many products marketed which claim to aid plumbing problems, MICROCAT® products are unique. They offer a combination of micro organisms, enzymes (biochemical catalysts) and other ingredients which act together naturally to soften, loosen, remove and break down greases, fats and oils in plumbing lines, sewer systems, pump stations and treatment plants, thus keeping them clean and odour free. Developed through the years, MICROCAT® products, whether dry or liquid are capable of safely and effectively loosening and digesting the troublesome substances, which clog drainage systems and cause odours. When used on a regular basis, MICROCAT® products can result in savings on operational and maintenance costs.
