Due to the low levels of mercury in water, Tekran provided them with a custom 2600 Event Table to pre-concentrate mercury from multiple samples to push the detection limit lower. When planning an ocean bound cruise, instrument dependability is a paramount concern. At sea, there is no possibility to return instrumentation to the manufacturer for quick repair.
