    Circuit Board Cleanliness Testing

Contamination of circuit boards can bring about severe degradation of insulation resistance and dielectric strength. Cleanliness of completed circuit boards is, therefore, of vital interest. For those companies who have established circuit board cleaning procedures, the MIL Spec P-28809 has been used as a guideline for control. Now a simple `on line` test for the relative measurement of ionic contamination has been developed. This fast and economical method for testing circuit board cleanliness uses a Myron L Company Ultrameter II™ 4P or 6P, a suitable container, and a mixture of Dl (deionized) water and alcohol.

Electrochemical solutions and water technologies for marine industry

In the marine market, ocean-going vessels and fresh water or inner coastal boats require water treatment technologies to meet drinking water, process water and wastewater requirements. Offshore oil and gas operations and ocean-going vessels generate sewage that can contain contaminants which have a detrimental effect on water quality and the overall marine environment. As a result, marine sewage treatment systems are required to lessen the environmental impact. The MEPC.227(64) effluent standards, adopted by the International Maritime Organization’s Marine Environment Protection Committee, apply to all sewage treatment systems installed on board on or after January 1, 2016.

We are committed to providing mixed metal oxide (MMO)-coated anodes and electrochemical technologies for the electronics industry. Listening to the industrial needs and main drivers, we have developed a high quality and reliable MMO-coated titanium anode for the electrodeposition of copper, gold and other metals on printed circuit boards (PCB) in replacement of soluble anodes.

  • Environmental technology for shipbuilding industry

In shipbuilding Körting water jet ejectors do all critical pumping jobs on board a ship: bilging inaccessible tank and ballast spaces. conveying solids on long dredger suction heads. essential component in fresh water production plants on sea.

  • Innovative Pump Technology for Ship Industry

In shipbuilding, high standards of reliability as well as increasingly the energy efficiency of the systems are important prerequisites for the economical-technical overall evaluation in the technical procurement process. Ships as self-sufficient systems are particularly dependent on the reliable functioning of all installed components, including the pumps. They fulfil many tasks on board which are vital for the operation of the vessel: Delivery of ballast water and wastewater, boiler supply, condensate recovery, drive engine cooling and of course the reliable supply of fire fighting systems.

  • Waste management for ships and sea platforms

For those who have lived in the arms of the sea, the bond is powerful and eternal. When mariners discharge waste into the sea, it is not carelessness but desperation…a last resort used in the absence of practical alternatives. The waste generated on every ship comes from both people and machinery. People generate garbage and sewage. The various motors and shafts generate used oils, dirty rags and a wide variety of other waste. The mariner has three options for all this waste: (i) store it on board and discharge it at the next port; (ii) treat it on board; or (iii) discharge it at sea. Today, none of these options are practical.

    Odor control for refining/petroleum

You refine the fuel, we’ll remove the odors. Oil refineries and petrochemical plants may generate large volumes of odor from the processing and refining of different fuels. Sulfides, mercaptans, and hydrocarbon compounds are all closely related to the oil industry. The odors generated from these industrial compounds are of a high nuisance value and generally create concern among local air boards and the public. Ecosorb odor removal products may be used in a variety of areas around the refinery including water treatment facilities, sludge ponds, sulfur recovery units, and API separators. To remove odors during tank cleaning and maintenance operations, portable dispersion systems can be used in the immediate work area to control malodors. Ecosorb products can be directly injected into flues and stacks and may be used as a substitute scrubbing solution in some applications.

Food Waste Recycling, Reduction or Disposal Systems for Education Sector

Multi Site University Campus: Leading the curve, Universities in particular were among the first sectors to realise the importance of dealing with food wastes and as early as 2006 the Universities took to Rocket in vessel composting and food waste dewatering. With multi campus applications and the importance of cost saving through the bulking together of wastes, bringing food wastes into a centralised process made most sense. Each of the campus refectories taking on Dehydra food dewatering systems to minimise the wastes before being transported to a centralised in vessel composting system. The sites tending to have grounds and gardens on which to utilise compost – a perfect application that can be seen using our equipment in Canada, the US and the UK. For those universities with boarding on site or swimming pools, the second option being the Dragon energy system for creating the heating and hot water needed at site as an alternative to fertilizer.

  • Monitoring of Harmful Algae Blooms

At frst it seems impossible: how can a sensor on board of a satellite circling the earth at an altitude of some 700 kilometers not only identify the total biomass of algae in the water, but also identify species of algae. This is related to what remote sensing specialists call the refectance spectrum of the water. The spectrum is a specifc fngerprint that is created by measuring the refection of water using extremely sensitive sensors, either onboard of a satellite or inside our equipment on the ground. We use a variety of algorithms to translate refectance spectra into concentrations of specifc compounds and phytoplankton species
