Measurement of sulphur in oil and fuels for oil & gas industry - Oil, Gas & Refineries
At present there are two main types of sulfur analysis in petroleum products:
- Ultra low sulfur, often called zero sulfur fuel, with concentration levels at or below 10mg/kg, (or 15mg/kg in the USA)
- Higher sulfur concentration values from 50mg/kg to 5%.
Within the oil supply system from shipment of crude oil to refining, distribution, storage and subsequent use in automobiles, aboard ships etc, quality control/assurance is required at almost every stage of the process. The Lab-X3500 and X-Supreme8000 are field proven instruments that can measure sulfur from a few ppm to high % covering all analytical requirements.
