Clarification processes are commonly used in various stages of solids separation in water, sewage and industrial treatment systems. Hydroflux Epco have provided over 330 clarifier units throughout Australasia, Middle East and UK with installations dating back to 1962.

Hydroflux Epco’s full range of Clarifier Applications:

  • Primary Clarification – The first stage of solids separation in water, sewage and industrial treatment systems

BioCap® Gas Collection Digester Covers – Floating and fixed digester roofs for bio gas storage and pressurisation

With design expertise and references dating back to the 1960’s, Hydroflux Epco range of BioCap® digester covers and associated gas handling and mixing components will meet the task of operating in difficult conditions that is generally experienced in anaerobic digesters.

Hydroflux Epco RoadTrain®

The Hydroflux Epco Packaged Extended Aeration Sewage Treatment Plant (PSTP) was developed in Australia in 1962 to meet the demands of smaller or isolated communities for the complete purification of domestic sewage to a degree allowing discharge to local water courses, irrigation and reuse.
Packaged plants can be designed to suit 50 persons to 5000 persons and can be installed in-ground or above. These plants are compact, very reliable and simple to operate and maintain.

Since the initial development, over 150 EPCO packaged plants have been installed in small towns, hotels, mine sites, oil fields and holiday resorts, often in remote and environmentally sensitive sites.

AEROSTRIP® Fine Bubble Membrane Diffusers offer numerous advantages, when compared to other fine bubble diffusers.

The AEROSTRIP® Fine Bubble Membrane Diffuser is a strip diffuser, for use in continuous and intermittent biological processes.
AEROSTRIP® Diffusers by AquaConsult of Austria have been in operation since the early 1990’s and are providing significant benefits to numerous wastewater treatment plants with over 2000 installation worldwide including many industrial and municipal plants throughout Australia.

The main benefits of the AEROSTRIP® diffusers is the significant power savings due to the high oxygen transfer rate 4.0-5.0 kgO2/kW and robustness/long life of the membrane, which is greater than 12 years. And this is without fouling or loss of pressure.

As the AEROSTRIP® Diffuser is fed with air, an air cushion forms underneath the membrane and the micro-perforations open partially. As air flow increases, the number of open perforations increases. The fine bubbles emerge and rise slowly with an oscillating motion. The 1mm bubbles provide high specific area and great stability. This leads to high oxygen mass transfer.

The AEROSTRIP® Diffusers are suitable for use in conventional activated sludge plants, sequential biological reactors, membrane bio reactors and virtually any aerobic wastewater treatment process.
