During production of printed materials the ambient air in the working area absorbs a lot of gaseous pollutants (contaminants) that have so-called `paint smell` - solvents of various kinds (alcohols, ketones, aromatic hydrocarbons, etc.). The presence of these substances in the working area ambient air produces harmful effect at least on the personnel. In addition, solvent emission into the air is penalized in compliance with current regulation.
Thus, printing enterprises face an acute problem of removing bad smell from working area ambient air. One of the options for removing the smell from the air is the use of modern gas-cleaning equipment based on plasma catalysis.
