Ultrasonic Instrumentation for Dredging and Bypass Flow Applications - Water and Wastewater
Dredging is the act of excavating material from a water environment and will include applications like improving existing water features; reshaping land and water features to alter drainage, navigability, and commercial use; construct dams, dikes, and other controls for streams and shorelines; and to recover valuable mineral deposits or marine life having commercial value. Due to the abrasive dredging flows, magnetic flowmeters are known to frequently fail in these environments. Our non-contacting doppler technology measures these abrasive flows from the outside of the pipe, therefore requiring zero process down time and no moving parts. This means no required maintenance or wear and tear risks. Our doppler technology covers a wide range of pipe sizes and materials.
