A High School student`s perspective of Chemical Oxygen Demand, Green Chemistry versus dichromate chemistry case study

Recently, a High School student. Maja Menegotto, submitted a science project with the topic:

Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD): GREEN Chemistry versus Hazardous Chemistry

In particular, this science project describes the difference between the PeCOD® COD method and the Dichromate COD Method. Highlighted are the advantages of the GREEN chemistry method by PeCOD® and the significant advantages to human society and the environment.

The student wrote an interesting concluding statement: 'These two methods, Dichromate COD and PeCOD®, represent the past and the future of Chemical Oxygen Demand. By continuing to improve the COD method we can protect the environment and protect human health'
