Elemental analysis by X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometry is one of the principal methods of process and quality control in the metals industry. However, the matrix corrections needed and the many reference materials required to ensure high quality results has, until now, been a limitation which has been overcome with a new package comprising a wavelength dispersive XRF (WDXRF) spectrometer, specially prepared standards and dedicated software.
