Application of Advanced Modelling Tools to Evaluate Uncertainty in Modelling Predictions

With any modelling prediction there is a degree of uncertainty that corresponds to the uncertainty in defining hydraulic and chemical parameters spatially throughout the model domain. With geologic investigations we must interpolate between point information (borehole logs) to define continuous spatial properties through the model area. In addition, many parameters such as effective porosity and dispersivity are difficult (and often impractical) to quantify in the field.
