The regulation prescribes that, for each specific product, a maximum of 6 P-phrases should be reported in the classification and labeling. However very often the danger calculation produces many more than 6 P-phrases: the calculation automatically reports all the P-phrases related to each hazard class in which the product is classified. EuSHEET, therefore, provides you a tool to make the reduction of those phrases on the basis of the priority rules listed in the ECHA guidelines.

Reduction, how to activate it:

In order to activate the automatic reduction of P-phrases, open the window Preferences > Parameters and set the corresponding value to 1, the default value is 0. Once you have set the appropriate parameter to the value 1, the reduction of P phrases will be executed directly during the calculation of the product classification and, in the classification window, the already reduced P-phrases will be displayed.

Reduction and insights:

In order to help you in classification, the button with the scissors is still among the options available to you. So, if you manually enter a product classification without knowing the P-phrases associated with the hazard phrases, this button will allow you to automatically create and simultaneously reduce the P-phrases, similarly to what happens with the option Edit > Reduce PS (CLP Guidelines).

Reduction and fast insert:

The automatic reduction is also possible when using the fast insert of the classification. In fact using Edit > Fast insert, it is possible to enable the flags to create and simultaneously reduce the P-phrases associated with the hazard phrases.
