Automotive Manufacturer Achieves Zero-Liquid-Discharge Production, Recovers Waste Energy - Case Study
An automotive manufacturing plant in Morocco, consisting of pressing, body assembly, paintwork, and final assembly, started-up in early 2012 with two new production lines and an annual output capacity of 400,000 vehicles/year.
The site was designed to discharge zero industrial effluents to the environment. Water consumption for manufacturing processes are 70% lower than for a conventional plant of equivalent size.
1) Reduce the environmental impact of production
2) Zero industrial wastewater discharge into the environment
3) Volume of water consumed by manufacturing processes must be cut by more than 50%
