Waste water from cassava
An AEMS fixed biogas analyser was needed to monitor CH4, CO2, O2 and H2S gas levels produced by a covered lagoon for waste water from cassava processing.
The site is a cassava plant originally developed as a CDM project by Rhodia, a French company. The plant has a covered lagoon for waste water and is currently achieving CH4 60-68%, CO2 30-38% and H2S c.1,500ppm. If pressure is high, gas is burned in a boiler to dry starch.
