Brassica Protection Products LLC (BPP) is a successful marketer of broccoli-based antioxidant ingredients to food and dietary supplement makers.

BPP was established in 1996 to license technological innovations discovered by researchers at Johns Hopkins University.

By the year 2000, BPP was facing significant challenges and concerns in meeting its production and supply requirements.

Chief Executive Office, Tony Talalay recounts, “Brassica Protection Products had demand that exceeded our ability to pilot and scale-up our production processes.”

That’s when BPP first contacted POS Bio- Sciences to determine how POS could help them develop their intellectual property into commercially successful products.

BPP’s relationship with POS has been so positive that BPP has moved away from conducting development work itself in favor of working directly with POS.

Tony Talalay says, “We would ask POS how we should move forward and received great advice – POS gave us what we needed even when we didn’t know what we needed.”

Brassica Protection Products (BPP) developed markets for SGS-brand glucoraphanin, the precursor of sulforaphane, a powerful natural antioxidant that provides long-lasting beneficial effects in the human body.
