Dry ice blasting can easily be performed outdoors as long as the proper protocol is followed. If you cannot connect to a normal outlet you will need to use a remote generator to supply power to your machine.
It will be necessary to utilize an air compressor if you cannot connect your dry ice blasting machine to a facility’s compressed air system. It is also ideal to use an aftercooler; particularly during humid weather conditions.
When blasting outside it is also important to ensure that your machine is properly grounded. To do this put a grounding rod in the ground near the blasting site. Then attach your grounding cable from your machine to the rod.
