One of the main challenges faced by Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs) is the control of algae blooms. High algae concentrations create problems for process performance and increase operating expenditure for cleaning and maintenance activities.

The Solution: Control Algae with the LG Sonic e-line

As an environmentally friendly solution, the use of ultrasonic treatment can be used to control algae. Ultrasonic treatment uses high frequency sound waves to control algae growth in open balance tanks.

The Results: Reduction of Algae, Less Maintenance and Less Frequent Backwash

The LG Sonic e-line devices show an viable solution at controlling algae growth in the balance tanks.  Significant operating expenditure related to cleaning maintenance has been saved.
