Algae control in recreational pond - Case Study

Located in Craigmyle, Torphins (Scotland), the 3845 square meter pond was covered with dark green pond weed.  An e-line system was installed to control the algae.

The Challenge: Green Algae Mats Covering the Pond’s Shores

Located in Craigmyle, Torphins, Scotland, the 3,845 m2 pond was covered with dark green pond weed. For years, the image of the pond was disrupted by the continuous algae growth during warm seasons.

The Solution: Control Algae with the LG Sonic e-line

Installation of one LG Sonic e-line device in a 4,000-m² water surface. The unit was connected to a local power source. Ultrasonic treatment uses high frequency sound waves to control algae blooms in ponds and other applications.
The Results: Algae has Disappeared Completely after Installing the LG Sonic e-line

During the 2 month trial, the filamentous algae on the water surface decreased by 90%. Some areas in the water that where shaded from the ultrasound still had a slight accumulation of filamentous algae. Dydimo growth on the rocks in the ponds was reduced and kept under control by the LG Sonic e-line.
