Lake Taman Aman is contaminated by algae and the inflow of liquid waste from the surrounding buildings. Thanks to the blooming of blue-green algae, the lake suffered particularly from malodour. In September 2012, 4 LG Sonic’s where installed in the lake to deal with the stench.

The Challenge: Malodor Because of Blue-Green Algae

Lake Tamam Aman is contaminated by algae and the inflow of liquid waste from the surrounding buildings. Thanks to the blooming of blue-green algae, the lake suffered particularly from malodor. Previous actions to solve the algae problem involved cleaning and dredging of the lake but with limited results. In September 2012, four LG Sonic e-line devices were installed in the lake to deal with the stench.

The Solution: Installation of Four LG Sonic e-line Systems

Previous actions to solve the algae problem involved cleaning and dredging of the lake but with limited results. In September 2012, 4 LG Sonic’s where installed in the lake to deal with the stench. Ultrasonic treatment uses high frequency sound waves to control algae growth in open balance tanks.

The Results: Malodor Disappeared

After a 3 month period, the floating layers and malodour in the lake has disappeared.
