Under the Malaysian Transformation Programme, the Ministry undertake to supply clean treated water to remote villages for orang asli (aborigines) for 25 villages. The programme consists of several steps beginning with site-inspections and requirement check, house and fence building, equipment installation, technical training and education on health issues.

In the first phase, they will build a community water and pumping station in 22 villages. This station provides up to 15'000 liter per day of free drinking water for all local inhabitants.
