A third municipal deployment of PHG Energy’s gasification technology has been approved by Sevier Solid Waste, Inc. The East Tennessee regional authority operates an industry-recognized and innovative garbage composting plant processing more than 100,000 tons annually from the Sevierville, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

The 64 ton/day maximum capacity gasifier will be fueled by compost created during the facility’s disposal process, and by municipal wood waste collected in the area.
